The Centre of the Third Pull Ministry

The real third pull has nothing to do with what people brag about. Nothing! Not an ounce of it! Your mind has cheated you. But what is the third pull ministry? It is the seventh seal; a ministry out of the seventh seal. And what is that? It is that great sword. What does it do? It rips through his own heart first, acting by himself on his word of promise.

Look and see. Many of you are blinded by only one sided view, but a coin has always three faces, not even two as you hear. It has three dimensions anyhow! Most flocks at most see only one phase. A few climbs a little to see two phases, but the third phase evades all.

Ask them, that whom to men say the third pull is. Some say it is speaking the word and it is done and that will be the ministry of justice to the total lost, souls in prison. Yes, that may have a threat in it, but I think you have missed it because the sixth seal has all that in place by the two witnesses. They speak the word and consume anything away. Yes, it goes with that yet that is not the centre of it. You go following that you miss it. For Moses displayed all that and Pharaoh was never moved, no! not to break the least chain upon the children of Israel. Yes, it goes with it, for it is the ministry of the spoken word, but judgement is not the indention about the great mystery!

Others say, “It is the revelation of the Word.” I say yes, but that is just a little rim about it. For I can know all mysteries yet remain a sounding symbol! What then is the real ministry of the third pull?

91 And as I reached to pick up the string, I was taken again. Now, you mark this down. Watch it come to pass. See? And as I started to reach down, I was gone again. Then, when I come to, I was standing by the side of a beautiful lake, something like your lake out here in the summertime when it’s real pretty and green. And there were fishermen all around the lake, and they were fishing, but they were catching small fishes. And I looked out into the lake, and those great, beautiful rainbow trout out there, and I said, “I know this is a vision, but I can’t understand those trout. But,” I said, “you know, I believe, right down in my heart, I can catch those.” So, I picked up the string, but, instead of it being a string, it was a fishing pole.

92 And just then, the One behind me said, “Now I’ll teach you to fish, how to catch those.” And so He took…And He said, “Tie on the lure.” And I snapped the lure on. He said, “Now throw way out,” now listen close, “way out into the deep.” And He said, “When you do, now let the lure sink down, first. Then,” said, “pull it slow.” Now, that’s really fishermen’s technique. So I…

93 He said, “Then, when you do, now, you’ll feel some nibbles at it, but don’t tell nobody what you’re doing. Keep it to yourself.” And said, “Then when you feel it nibble again,” said, “pull it just a little, a little bit, but not too hard,” He said, “and then it’ll pull it away from the little fish. And when they scatter, that’ll attract the attention of the big fish, and they’ll grab it.” And said, “That’s the way you’ll catch it.” Said, “Then, when they bite on, the third time, set your hook for the catch.”

And I said, “I understand.”

Said, “But keep still. Don’t tell nobody. Keep still.”

And I said, “All right.”

94 And I had the lure in my hand. And all these fishermen turned out to be ministers, and they all come around, saying, “Brother Branham, I know you can catch fish.”

95 Oh, of course, that made me feel real good. I said, “Oh, yes, I’m a fisherman. I can catch fish.” And he said…I said, “Now, here is the way you do it.” And I said, “You throw it way out.” And I went way out, in the deep water. I said, “Now, those little fish are fine, brethren, but we want the big ones, too.” And I was…let…I said, “Well, see, when it sinks down, now see, there it is, just about where it should be, now, see there’s, see, there—there, them is little fish.” I said, “Now, when it sets again…”

96 I give it a great big jerk, and, when I did, I pulled the whole lure out of the water. And when I did, I caught a fish, but I wondered how he ever got the lure in his mouth. Cause, looked like the skin just stretched over the lure, about the same size of the lure. And I thought, “Oh, my!”

56-0408A - What Is A Vision?

Did Branham in his ministry catch the rainbow trout? No! never! The vision said he never! And God’s word must be fulfilled. Did Moses in all his mighty catch the rainbow trout? Oh, mercy goodness! He got such a tinny thing that he wondered how it got there, just two out of two million!

So, if it failed, then what next? Is it gone forever? No, never, Branham’s ministry was only an introduction to it. For it was revealed to him that the final third pull is the ministry of the seventh seal, and that concerns the one whom he was forerunning, even the Word, for he was forerunning the coming Word.

My mission, I believe, to the earth, is (what?) is to forerun the coming Word, see, the coming Word which is Christ. And Christ, in Him, has the Millennium, and has everything right there, because He is the Word. See? All right.

62-0318 - The Spoken Word Is The Original Seed

Exactly what the scriptures say! John was a forerunner of the Word; he prepared the way for the Word, and confessed that he could not put on His shoes; he could not fit in the shoes of the Word, for he was not the Word. But the third pull is the ministry of the Word, and the Word is Jesus Christ!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. Joh 1:1-8 

John the first forerunner was not the Word of life, the light of men, but came to prepare the way for it. Similarly, William Branham was not the Word, but as he confesses, he was sent to forerun the coming Word! The Third Pull is the ministry of the Word which Branham foreran! The Word is Jesus Christ. Branham could not put on the shoes of the Word! He is not worth!

Why did then Branham miss to catch the big fish? He was trying to break the latchet of the shoes of one mightier than he! Remember, before the angel said anything to him, Branham said to himself that he believed he could catch the great rainbow trout. It was his own initiative, his own belief, his own best, and God allowed him to try it to prove him, and show clearly that he was not worth to untie that latchet. He could wind up all about the mysteries already partly declared to the prophets, all concerning first and second pulls, all concerning the six seals, but the third pull ministry in the seventh seal was simply beyond him. Why? It was the seventh seal, which holds the ministry of the second coming of Jesus. And he was its forerunner, not its messenger!

"But,” I said, “you know, I believe, right down in my heart, I can catch those.” So, I picked up the string, but, instead of it being a string, it was a fishing pole.

And when I did, I caught a fish, but I wondered how he ever got the lure in his mouth. Cause, looked like the skin just stretched over the lure, about the same size of the lure.

You see, he failed because he was trying to fulfil the ministry that he was sent to forerun. For it was the ministry of the coming Word to catch the big fish, the rainbow trout. It has to be a rainbow messenger like Joseph to catch the rainbow trout. It must be an angel with a rainbow on his head to catch his brethren, the sons of God!

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. Malachi 3:1

Two messengers are promised in the scripture above. One foreruns another. “The Lord whom you seek”, is not the forerunner, but he is the messenger of the covenant, the rainbow messenger to catch the rainbow trout. Revelation 10:1-6 is the messenger of the covenant heralded by Rev 10:7. He comes in his temple after the forerunner has gone.

What is then the third pull ministry according to the tent vision? It is right there in that quote before your eyes. It has nothing to do with signs and wonders! It has nothing to do with miracles. It is the gospel message that catches the big fish, the rainbow trout, not just the New Testament Pentecostal children, for all the New Testament has been a Pentecostal ministry that was ushered in on the day of Pentecost.

The angel’s commission to Brother Branham only mentioned the first two pulls, that as Moses was given two signs, so was he also given. But the tent vision promised the ministry which he was forerunning, so all he had concerning the third pull was to prepare the way for it. He did that by revealing the mysteries under the first six seals. That cleared the way for the seventh seal to come in. Here is what he says:

It whirled away from me, like that, and went over that tent. And said, “I’ll meet you there.” And said, “This will be the Third Pull, and you won’t tell It to nobody.”

And in Sabino Canyon, He said, “This is the Third Pull.”

300 And there’s three great things that goes with It. And one unfolded today, or, yesterday; the other one unfolded today; and there’s one thing that I cannot interpret, because it’s in an unknown language. But I stand right there and looked right straight at It. And this is the Third Pull coming up. [Brother Branham knocks on the pulpit three times—Ed.] And the Holy Spirit of God…Oh, my! That’s the reason all Heaven was silent.

63-0324E - The Seventh Seal

There we see the three phases in the seventh seal. Revealed yesterday was under the sixth seal when it was shown that the seventh seal is that day and that hour which no man knows, no, not the angels nor the son, but the Father. Revealed today means what had been shown him that the seventh seal pertains to the seven thunders. And in an unknown language is that which flew across there after the thunders had sounded and he could not interpret. And that is the fullness of the third pull ministry, it is the ministry of the seventh seal in the three folds.
